Partner gardens and leads

The Good Cheer Food Bank and the South Whidbey School District collaborate to make the Grow Whidbey program possible. They share the common vision of providing fresh food and education to our community.

  • good cheer garden harvest fest2009_3689The Good Cheer Food Bank Garden includes three growing spaces, about 1.5 acres in total, that grows food for the food bank and South Whidbey School District cafeterias. In 2015 the garden grew nearly 8,000 of produce, and brought in almost 1,000 hours of community service. The Garden Manager is Camille Green.


  • summer work party farm 2015_0029The South Whidbey School District Farm and Garden program provides garden-based curriculum to over 700 K – 5, Middle School, and High School students while growing nutritious produce for the school cafeterias, the Good Cheer Food Bank, Whidbey Island Nourishes, and for the students to enjoy straight from the garden. The Garden Program Coordinator is Cary Peterson.
